About Chestnut Rosehip
Chestnut Rosehip is a botanical gem with a legacy that spans continents. Introduced to India by Dr. William Roxburgh, the revered "Founding Father of Indian Botany," this remarkable plant journeyed from China to the Calcutta Botanical Garden in 1824 (now known as the Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Indian Botanic Garden). Named Rosa Roxburghii in honour of Roxburgh, his residence, a distinguished heritage building, still stands within the Kolkata Botanic Garden, a testament to his enduring legacy.
In China, Chestnut Rosehip transcends its botanical significance, symbolising natural beauty and economic empowerment. Its cultivation has rejuvenated villages in Guizhou Province, fostering sustainable livelihoods and transforming countless lives.
Discover the Power of Chestnut Rosehip
What sets Chestnut Rosehip apart? Packed with Vitamin C, it is a skincare powerhouse renowned for its brightening effects and ability to combat free radicals. Rich in polysaccharides, polyphenols, Vitamin A, and superoxide dismutase (SOD), it also contains Vitamin P (bioflavonoids) that enhances Vitamin C absorption, fortifying your skin against environmental stressors.
Astonishingly, 100 grams of Chestnut Rosehip contains 500 times more Vitamin C than an apple, 50 times more than an orange, 10 times more than a kiwi, and 4 times more than sea buckthorn. Dubbed as the "King of Vitamin C in Asia," it provides nearly 3,500 milligrams of Vitamin C and 54,000 milligrams of SOD per 100 grams. This potent combination not only reduces free radical damage but also helps in mitigating sun damage and photoaging.
